WATER HEATER INSTALLATION

Hot water is one of those amenities we take for granted. Only when it “disappears” do we notice there is a problem. The lack of hot water is a clear sign that you might need to replace water heater. It isn’t just the absence of the hot water, but also how long it takes to heat up the water. If you’ve been noticing that it is taking a lot longer to heat up water, then your water heater could be clogged with sediment or simply failing all together because of age.

The lack of hot water isn’t the only sign that you need water heater replacement. Here are some other problems to look out for:

Noises from the Tank

Florida is known for having hard water. Hard water can cause a mineral build-up in your hot water heater which creates all kinds of popping or creaking noises coming from the tank. This build-up of minerals requires the water heater to work harder to heat your water.  This unnecessary strain can lead to failure, and should be checked or maintenance applied.

Cloudy / Dirty Water

The same mineral deposits in your tank that can cause noises can also make the water look cloudy. There could also be a metallic taste to the tap water. A reddish color in your water could mean that rusty from the pipes is seeping into the water supply. If you’re experiencing any of these issues, then you should call us to do a free water test and inspect your hot water heater.

Leaking Tank

A pool of water from under your tank is probably the clearest indication that there is trouble with the water heater system. It might not seem like a lot of water at first, but if that leak is persistent it could end up cracking even more and flooding your entire home.  It’s best to go ahead and replace your hot water heater before the the leak worsens.

Water Treatment

Hard water can destroy your plumbing pipes and ruin a hot water heater. By installing a water softener and water treatment system, you can save money in the long term while enjoying better water for drinking, cooking, bathing and more.

Even more importantly, your water should be checked for harmful levels of bacteria and metals on a regular basis to ensure the water is safe to drink.
